Free Webinar: Evidence-Based Brief Interventions in Collaborative Care on Oct 21, 2025
The AIMS Center at the University of Washington (https://aims.uw.edu/) is hosting a free webinar on integrated care. The session will focus on brief, evidence-based interventions that strengthen the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM).
The Collaborative Care Model is built on five core principles: Patient-Centered Team Care, Population-Based Care, Measurement-Based Treatment to Target, Evidence-Based Care, and Accountability for Outcomes. These principles help primary care teams address behavioral health needs with proven strategies. A recent article in JAMA Psychiatry discussed the role of evidence-based psychotherapy interventions in CoCM (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapsychiatry/article-abstract/2831899).
The webinar will highlight two brief interventions suited for CoCM: Behavioral Activation (BA) and Problem-Solving Treatment (PST). Presenters will review the evidence base for BA and PST, show how these approaches can be delivered in brief, structured formats within primary care, and explore solutions to common implementation challenges.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to describe the core principles and evidence for BA and PST, identify strategies for delivering these interventions in primary care, and recognize common challenges and solutions in implementation.
Panelists include Patrick Raue, PhD, Associate Director for Evidence-Based Psychosocial Interventions, AIMS Center; S. Tina Nisby-Gibbs, MEd, MS, NCC, LMHC, CCM, MHW Program Manager, Kaiser Permanente; and Michelle Myers, LMFT, Behaviorist, Contra Costa.
The webinar is free and open to all. You can register here: https://washington.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_3MW8ykEJSXWEz8lXfZmr0g.
